It’s all done! I just have to wash it! I’m so excited to mail it out! I ended up going with a batik binding that is florescent green, yellow, and pink. I love the way it turned out! I cannot wait to throw it in the washer, and then the dryer. Quilts always look so much better once washed! I cannot wait for the buyer to get it! I know he will love it!
Hello world! After taking yesterday off because I hurt my back, and couldn’t really sew, i am a little behind. Thank goodness my manic stage kicked in a bit. I finished the quilting on this gorgeous quilt! I just have to bind it now! Then wash it, and then I start my next quilt project! I’m not sure what I am going to do for a binding yet, but I cannot wait to dig through some fabric and find something that makes it pop! Part of me wants to do grey, but I think a fun multicolored batik could do wonders here, so we will see! Wish me luck!

Since I sold another Equality Quilt, I figured I would do something different with the equal block sign. What do you guys think? Obviously you can get whatever colors you want.
I hurt my back at work, so I’m not going to be sewing anything tonight. I took a muscle relaxer, and hopefully tomorrow I will be back on track. Moving a fridge down a flight of stairs was very painful. lol. Thank goodness I’m 6’6″ and built like a brick … house. So, I’ll be okay, I just need to not be hunched over a sewing machine, no matter how much I want to. Hope I feel better when I wake up in the morning.
I started the quilting not too long ago. I ended up running into a few snags; mainly my thread tension was way off, but after I took apart my bobbin case, I found the culprit. Lots of lint! Now that my machine is clean, I started the quilting! It’s looking amazing!
I finished the piecing of the top earlier today, and I already started to pin it. I have to run a few errands, but when I come back, I’ll finish the pinning, and start the quilting! Hopefully I’ll have the binding on before I go to be tonight! Wish me luck!

I’m so happy right now! I’m taking a quick break from quilting to write this post and enjoy my bowl of ice cream and watch some Modern Family! However, I just need to say how awesome all of my readers are! They got me up to 100,000 views and now I’m giving away a quilt to someone randomly selected from the viewership! After work today I can right home and started to sew! I’m about half way done sewing the blocks together and I’ll have it pinned later tonight. I’m really loving the way it’s turning out. Tomorrow when there is better light, I’ll take more pictures. I cannot wait for it to be light after 6pm: waiting for spring!
I did it! After much ado over piecing these blocks, I have done it! I have made 71 blocks and I’m going to email the buyer and see which ones he wants me to use, because all I need is 64, and I wanted him to have some options. I’m really excited to start piecing it, and I cannot wait to see it completed! Wish me luck!
