Final Fantasy Quilt: Pinning It!

Since I have to wait until tomorrow for my fabric shipment, I have decided to pin this quilt tonight, and start the quilting! Hopefully I’ll finish it in the next few hours and have pics posted in the morning. I’m just stitching in the ditch on it to accent the blockiness of the 8-bit, but I kind of still want to stipple to round the edges a bit. I’m not sure. Haha. I guess I’ll figure it out soon though! Wish me luck!

Final Fantasy Quilt: The Top Is Complete!

I did it! I did it! This was a perfect filler project while I’m waiting on the Viking’s Fabric I ordered. It should hopefully be here by Tuesday, so then I can finish that quilt top and quilt it. I might end up quilting this one tomorrow, but I do have to go to work, so it just depends on how late I work, and how tired I am. I’m still waiting to hear back on a new job that would be more of a set schedule which would be very nice, but it would be more of a time commitment. So, more money means more fabric! Yay! A little less quilting, but hey, I’ll take what I can get. I am really excited. Since the Pattern is up on Etsy, I think I might put this up there too. We’ll see. Someone seams to be mildly interested in buying it, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Equality Quilt: Quilting Is Done, Now The Binding!

Hello world! After taking yesterday off because I hurt my back, and couldn’t really sew, i am a little behind. Thank goodness my manic stage kicked in a bit. I finished the quilting on this gorgeous quilt! I just have to bind it now! Then wash it, and then I start my next quilt project! I’m not sure what I am going to do for a binding yet, but I cannot wait to dig through some fabric and find something that makes it pop! Part of me wants to do grey, but I think a fun multicolored batik could do wonders here, so we will see! Wish me luck!

Hurried Up And Finished This Today!

So… if you all recall I did the Sandstorm Quilt for Quilts of Valor. I sent it off to a longarmer I know, but she recently sent it back to me because she has had some health problems and just couldn’t do it. So I got it back, and I was going to send it to another longarmer, but after paying for shipping once I just decided to stipple it myself. So here it is. I’m giving it to the person receiving it tomorrow! I’m so happy to have finished it!

I Pulled The Pond Out Of The Dryer!

So, last night I was able to get the binding on, and all I can think about is how I desperately need a new machine. I love my Free Westinghouse, but it is so slow compared to my Brother. Something that would typically take me only about 30 minutes took almost an hour! Although I did order my new Janome, and it will be in my clutches by Friday! Too bad I have craft shows Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so Monday I will break it in! I’m thinking maybe I’ll quilt my King Size quilt that I made for myself. It was the first quilt I ever made, and I kind of want it now that the weather is getting colder. Although, it was in the 40’s today. Not bad for December! Anyways, back to the Pond. I washed it and then threw it in the dryer, but then had a doctor’s appointment, so I had to leave before it was done. All I could think about when I talked to my Psychiatrist was, ‘I hope the stitches look nice and the fabric poofs a little!’ Needless to say, it did! It looks fabulous, and I plan on giving it to her later this week!

Finished The Quilting!

Omigosh! That appointment for my Psychiatrist was much longer than I had expected it to be, and my whole afternoon was shot! I got home around 4:00 and made some dinner. (I heated up some left over gyros.) I right away jumped on my machine and finished this beast of a quilt! I love the way it turned out, and later tonight, I will put on the binding! First, I suppose I should find a binding to put on it… To the Fabric Bins! Huzzah!

Finished The Quilting… Almost

So, I ended up staying up way too late last night, and then didn’t even get out of bed until 10:00am. Slacker! However, I did finish the quilting. Well, almost all of the quilting. I decided to quilt with purple thread and then do the quilting of the last layer in blue just to make everything pop! I think it will look great! Here’s what I’ve gotten so far!

Time To Start The Quilting!

Now that I warmed up and did that table topper, I have to get cracking on this throw quilt so I can have it ready for the next craft fair I am entered in on this Saturday. I’m still not too sure how I am quilting it, but I’m just going to have to make a last minute executive decision when it is on the machine! Wish me luck! Looking at it though, I’m going to have to steam out some wrinkles first. Then I’ll quilt it!

I Finished The Quilt For The Craft Show!

In the wee hours of morning I arose from my work bench triumphant! I finished the quilt and put the binding on it! I love it! I’m sad it is just a small sampler quilt for the craft shows I am going to be in, but I like it anyways! The quilting technique changes in almost every block just to show people what I can do, and how I can work with designs! It was my first stab at free motion quilting, and I liked the way it turned out! I hope everyone else likes it too! I was going to post it this morning, but I over slept and was almost late for work. Whoops!
