My Dad Got His Quilt!!!

My Dad finally got his Quilt this morning! He was elated! He was quite happy to get his quilt. It was pretty rewarding for me to see him get that happy! I gave it to him as I was leaving for the weekend to go and visit a friend. It’s pleasant to know that while I’m gone, he will be thinking of me as he gets under his lap quilt! I’m really excited for him to use it!

Finished The Quilting On My Christmas Scrap Quilt!!!

As of about 5 minutes ago, I finished the quilting on my Christmas Scrap Quilt! I really love the way it turned out!

I’m going away for the weekend, and I really wanted to finish this so I could give it to my Dad. I really hope he will like it! As soon as I finish this post, I’m going to put on the binding… as soon as I pick some out. Haha! Well here is to scrap quilts! And the excitement of finishing a product!

Working on Mug Rugs.

Now that I have made about 200 coasters, I have turned my attention to mug rugs, and later this week I’ll start my pot holders! I’m really excited for a few craft fairs going on in the next few months that I am a part of. Since I want to make sewing my job, instead of just my hobby, I need to work on making some of the more easily affordable things instead of just quilts, so here is to working on Christmas stuff for the holiday season!

I Finished The Christmas Scrap Quilt

I finally finished the quilt top! I’m also mildly in love with it. I think it is typically something I would find too cheery, but I know my Dad will love it, so I’m happy! I think I’ll quilt it this weekend and give it to him as an early birthday present. I hope he likes it!

I’ll post more pictures tomorrow evening!

Working On A New Pattern!

After a day of working my legs off, I’ve come home, showered, ate, and now I’m chilling out, watching the Mindy Project, and working on a design for my next quilt. I have the pieces of my Christmas scrap quilt sitting on my ironing board, but no iron. I cleaned it, and now I have to wait for the CLR to evaporate, and just steam some water through it.

So, as that sits there, I’m working on a sexy new quilt pattern! Wish me luck!
