Picked A Border For Miss A’s Quilt

5 Jul

As everyone knows, I did the body of the quilt 2 days ago. Since then I have had a hard time picking out what color to do for the border. At first, I wanted something that would tie in with the colors already in the quilt. Then I thought I really didn’t want something to take away from the center, so I had to scratch that idea. Then I thought I might do black, but then I remembered it was for a toddler, so maybe stay away from the black. Then I thought about doing this smokey violet, and I fell in love! I hope that everyone else likes it as much as I do

The quilt looks good. I would have went with a darker purple border.

I think it was an excellent choice. It frames it nicely while still drawing the eye toward the center. A darker border could have worked but it might have looked light a lightning bolt in a frame. The color you chose works with the palette of the quilt and allows the pattern to extend a little instead of coming to an abrupt halt. Nice work, Eric the quilter.

I almost did put on a dark purple border, but I’m really happy I went with the smokey violet! Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Hello there, I do think your blog could be having internet browser compatibility problems.
When I look at your web site in Safari, it looks fine however when opening in I.
E., it has some overlapping issues. I merely wanted to provide you with a
quick heads up! Besides that, wonderful website!
