Since I have gotten 300 likes on Facebook, I feel the need to give back to my fans! What would you guys and gals like? I was thinking Potholders? Coasters? Mug Rugs? Maybe even a small wall hanging? It’s up to all of you to tell me what you want!
We’ve all done it! We’ve all gone to the store and bought some junk we didn’t need because it was on sale. I know I’m guilty of it. I’ve looked through my stash and had to do a double-take on some fabric. Why did I buy it? Why did I keep it? Why do I not even want to use it as a quilt backing? I’ll tell you why: it’s ugly! But, but, but… I got it on sale. That’s a good enough reason…. right? No not really. Then why did I buy some hideous calico print that I’ll never use or even want? Because it was red tag clearance and it was 2 dollars a yard. That’s why I did it, and I would like to apologize to the rest of the fabric that sits next to it in my closet, as well as my wallet. Yes! It is that time of year again! It is time to fondle some sale priced fabric at Joanns! I know I’m excited! It’s been all I could think about all day yesterday. Unfortunately I had to do a crap ton of housework. I was stripping the paint off of windows, and I had to take the wallpaper off of my bathroom walls, and prime to paint it! I have been very busy. However, tomorrow I’m heading to Joanns with a fist full of dollars and I’m going to stock up on everything! And I mean everything! I need batting, and fat quarters, and bobbins, and needles, and maybe some flannel, and Heat N Bond. I need it all! I’m so excited! Once I go get the batting I can finish my latest Etsy commission Quilt, and get it in the mail! I should be able to pin and quilt it tomorrow after work, and then bind it on Wednesday! I’m excited!
Later to come today….

As I have told everyone already, I got a commission on Etsy to do another Zelda themed quilt, and I’m super excited to say that it took me less an 1 day to make the top! I feel like a star! I started it at 2pm Yesterday and finished the top around 11am today. I think it looks quite nice! What about everyone else?

On one of the other blogs I read someone asked, “What does your sewing machine say about you?” I, being myself, giggled when I thought in a literal sense about what my sewing machines would say about me. For those of you who are wondering what kind of machines I have, I have a Brother LX-3125 and a Free Westinghouse Type E.
Follow the jump if you want to find out what I think my sewing machines are saying about me behind my back!
I feel like a rising star! I’m so happy! Nothing gets me in a better mood than having someone think my quilts are so cool, that they want to get up off some money to have one! I have sold another Zelda Quilt, and I’m so happy about it! I’m going to go and buy the fabric I need tomorrow, but might even start cutting the pieces I have today! I am so happy! I hope the customer will be too!
Between the hassles of my crazy week of work and what not, I have been working on pot holders. I also did a few mug rugs, but those are now lost in my craft room. I even did some of the quilting on the machine I just got. I love my Free Westinghouse sewing machine! It does an amazing job, and I love it! Look at how well it quilted these down!!
