Okay, so here is the deal. I love my part time job, and I find the coolest things there. I mean, I got my singer sewing machine, which is amazing. I always piece on it! It’s super nice and heavy, and it is quite, and it sews through anything! It’s one of the best things ever, and I wouldn’t have gotten it if I didn’t work for the auction house doing estate sales. My boss is cool, and my hours are flexible, but I don’t work as often as I would like, and I never really know when I am going to work until a few days beforehand, and sometimes it is still a last minute call. I did an interview at a local gym, and it looks promising, but it is going to be 30 to 40 hours a week.
Now, I know most people work 40 hour a week jobs, and I used to do it too, but now that I am quilting, and selling a few quilts every now and then, and I’m selling patterns. Ideally, I can get a job that is 20 to 30 hours a week, so I can still quilt and make patterns. I would be lying if I said the free gym membership wasn’t appealing. I do want to get back in the gym and get down to my fighting weight again. With the more hours, that would mean more money, so I could buy more fabric! Which is always appealing too.
So, I’m just lost. I really want the job at the gym, but I also want the freedom of my current job. I guess the only thing I can do is wait for the call from the gym to see if I can get the job. I think I’ll take it. I’ll just have to sleep less. It’s the only way! 😉
