I’m so excited! I just re-opened my shop on Etsy, and someone has already purchased a quilt from me! I already have the top done, and now I just need to quilt it! I’m so excited for it! I think I’m going to do a dark grey thread and just stipple! I cannot wait to mail it out!

Everyone knows I have an inability to make a normal quilt, but here foes my best effort at trying. I want to make a nice simple rail fence quilt. Here is a sample of what it looks like so far!
I finished putting on the border last night. I had done the embroidery at work, but I didn’t get a chance to post those pictures last night. I’ve got two or three more things to put on to jazz it up, and then the buttons! Should I put the buttons on before I quilt it, or after? I’m not really sure. This is my first crazy quilt.

I did it! It is done, and I’m so happy I can call it a day! I’ll mail it out later today, and then tomorrow, I will start my next commission. For the finishing on this one, I did shiny blue thread for the background and then gold for the bird and triforce. I also did a gold rim of stippling around the edge of the quilt. I think it really makes it pop! I’m so in love with it, I’m kind of sad I have to mail it out!

I did it! I hit my goal for the night. I was up late doing this, but it was so worth it. Now that it is out of the way I won’t be thinking about it at work. Now that it is bright and early I’m going to go and get ready for work. I love the way the blues blend in the background. At first I thought my blues all had a little too much contrast, but they all blended quite nicely. The golds blended was too. Tonight after work I should be able to get the next third pieced, but we’ll see how tired I am.
Okay, so I’ve had to pack up Dual Star, because I’ve gotten a new commission. It’s going to be a queen size Zelda quilt. On the order form he selected blue, so here are the shades of blue for the background. I have everything going from a medium blue to navy. I think it will all blend very well! The bird and the Triforce are going to be gold, and I think it will contrast nicely against the blue. Wish me luck!
I started to lay out all for the pieces so I can sew them together! This is the longest process of all, but soon I will have about a quarter of the quilt top done, and then I have to wrap it up and put it a box for now. I just sold another quilt and I have to start work on that!
I did it! It is complete and ready to be mailed out tomorrow! I’m in love with it! It makes me miss living in Minnesota a little! Not that I’m a football fan or anything, but it just reminds me of Minnesota. I’m super happy I went with gold thread. It really makes the sashing pop!

At first I was planning on just stitching in the ditch, but then I decided to do that and also to stipple! I’m in love with it already! You like?
I’m about to start the quilting on this quilt, but I can;t decide if I want to go purple or gold on thread. I’m just stitching in the ditch, and then an outline of the body in the border. What do you guys think?
