The Latest Baby Quilt

Finished this gem on Friday night, and dropped it off for the client on Saturday. I hope she likes it! It’s for a baby shower, and the color scheme has to do with the mobile for the baby’s room. At first I wasn’t sure how all of these colors were going to go together, but it turned out pretty damn great! I love nice saturated colors, and this has some of my favorite fabrics in it! I’ll find out later today how much she loved it!

New Baby Quilt Almost Done

I’ve been really busy on my day off: adding the Zelda scarves to Etsy, putting my new grill together, and now I started piecing this quilt! I love it! It’s so saturated and lively! Now I’m going to add a smokey lavender sashing to it, and add some pink ruffles around the edge! Hopefully I will have it done by the end of the week! Wish me luck!

A New Baby Quilt!

As you know, I’m always down to make a baby quilt! I actually made this in one day from start to finish. It was pretty simple with the patterning I chose. two of my close friends are having a baby, and I took the opportunity to make this unique pattern. Yes, I will be publishing the pattern sometime in June in case anyone was wondering! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I mus get back to fabric dyeing in my basement! Wish me luck!

Baby Quilt Done!

It’s been a pretty busy month! I started getting ready for the Lake County Fair. I’m entering quite a few pieces! The only one I have to finish is the art quilt “It’s Dangerous To Go Alone”, and I’m almost done with that as of this afternoon! Last week I made this baby quilt for a dear friend of mine, and I didn’t want to post it until after the baby shower. So, here it is!

I want make a larger version of this for my couch!

Making A Baby Quilt

The border still has to be added, and then quilted, but I’m making good progress on the latest baby quilt. I made one similar to this before, and this one is for a boy, so instead of green, purple, red, and orange, this one crosses the color spectrum from orange to blue, and it’s going to have a camouflage flannel border and backing. Hopefully it wll get quilted and bound today, but  that has to wait until after I run some errands! Wish me luck!

I Pounded Out A Baby Quilt For My Niece

This took almost all evening yesterday, but I got it all done… Well, the quilt top is done anyway. Maybe, if I feel fancy tonight I’ll quilt it, but I’m thinking my sinuses are killing me, so Criminal Minds and plenty of rest are on my agenda. Anyways, let’s get back to the baby quilt. I’m debating on whether or not I want to put a solid border on it…. What do you think?

Bargello Baby Quilt

I finally picked out a pattern I like! It’s going to be a bargello quilt, and I really hope it turns out well. It is the first time I am doing a bargello style quilt, and I’m going to put my all into it, so I cannot imagine it will be that bad! I’m not saying it will be perfect, because I’m sure if I end up looking close enough, I’ll find a few errors, but I’ll make it work! Gosh! I feel like Tim Gunn!

I’ll start it tomorrow morning, because my eye sight is too blurry tonight to sew anything, and it is too dark in my sewing area. The ceiling lights went out due to some faulty wiring, and my landlord is coming by tomorrow to fix it. If worse comes to worse, I’ll sew upstairs, but tonight I am too tired to move all of my equipment up here.

Goodnight for now!
