I’ve got a couple of commissions in the works, and I decided that while I’m piecing like a mad man, I should have the embroidery machine running in the background. This is an Anita Goodesign called Indigo Quilt. While the design had specific instructions, I decided to go off the book and just make this quilt with scraps of denim and blue and black fabric, and then a red fabric for the sashing. It’s going to be gorgeous! With me luck!
I’ve been piecing away on commissions and I needed a break from looking at my sewing machine, so I jumped over to my embroidery machine for a bit to stitch out this design. It turned out alright, but when I digitized it, I forgot to add an underlay. Shame on me! In fact, I already remade the design with an underlay. Wish me luck next time I embroider it!
I still need to wash out the stabilizer I used, but I just love it! I’m going to make the design in a couple of different sizes. I’m still not sure how I feel about the textured moon, but I might just stick with it! We’ll see! Wish me luck!

I finally got around to taking the blocks and putting them together! I swear, going over it twice with the tiny stitches for the blooming bias takes forever, but it is well worth it! I’ve already got a few more rows on, so I’ll add pictures later!
I’ve been sewing with some chenille lately for quilting embellishments. Has anyone else done this? I mean, I’ve used it in designs before, but just adding a strip or two to a rail fence block? I can’t wait to finish this quilt and then wash it and watch the magic puff up! Wish me luck!

I made this Mario throw pillow for a customer! I even got some sky fabric for the background. I really want to make a whole quilt out of popart Marios. Like, in all different colors. One of these days. I’ve got three commissions ahead of that, so we’ll see.
I made this quick and simple Halloween Quilt top… Although, the more I look at it, the more I want to use it as a quilt backing. Hmmm, decisions, decisions. I really like the spider web fabric, and the green fabrics I picked out. I did the one in light green, just as an accent piece. I still don’t know if I want this as a simple quilt top, or a backing..
