Super Mario Throw Pillow!

I made this Mario throw pillow for a customer! I even got some sky fabric for the background. I really want to make a whole quilt out of popart Marios. Like, in all different colors. One of these days. I’ve got three commissions ahead of that, so we’ll see.

Embroidered Feathers Pillow

I made a gorgeous pillow. I even used piping! That was a new experience for me, but I think it turned out well! Maybe I should do a tutorial on piping? It’s kind of confusing if you’ve never done it before. Anyways, I embroidered this pillow. It’s an Anita Goodesign from February. I think it turned out very well!

Jetpacks Are Impractical And Dangerous

I don’t even know how to explain this project. It’s just kind of one of those things that I couldn’t help but make. I just thought it was verging on too ironic with the gothic lettering, and just it’s all around strangeness. I think some people take embroidery too seriously and they forget they can do fun and weird things with it!

I’ve Just Been Sick As A Dog, But I Still Made A Pillow

Man, this flu has hit me pretty hard. It’s like I’m short of breath after sewing for 5 minutes. This needs to be over quickly! In the mean time, I did make this gorgeous throw pillow! I even started work on my next commission quilt. I think it is going to be fabulous! Here are some pictures of the pillows, and later I’ll post the fabric for the new quilt.

Work On A Scrappy Chenille Throw Pillow

I had a theory! I was going to post a tutorial for chenille pillows, but I really wanted to see if I could make one with my scraps. I put them all down, and sewed on the bias, so now I’m just waiting to wash it to see if it turns out okay. I wanted to do a chenille pillow with more texture, and I think I’ve got it! I’ll post a picture of it washed sometime later this week, as well as a tutorial for both!

Wonky Quilt: All Finsihed!

I did it! I finished the Wonky Quilt from Quilt In A Day! I’m so excited. I’m going to hang it up in the shop I work at for a few weeks, and then it is being sent to my friend for her new born son! I went with purple stippling, and then some yellow stippling overlap in the border. I also picked a very folky / country backing for the quilt since they live on a farm! Everything about this is very excited!  I just love the way it turned out! I can’t wait to mail it!
