Now That I Am At Home…

Thornton-20140226-01796

Now That I sewed at work all day and made that lovely Throw Pillow, I am at home working on this Colts Quilt. I’m beyond late with this, but I’m giving a 20% refund for being a week late. The fabric was stuck in Florida during that snow storm, and then my life got hectic. Oy vey! Glad things are beginning to calm down. So, if you will excuse me, I have something to quilt!

Here Is The Embroidered Throw Pillow I Promised

I meant to post this in the morning, but I just never got around to it. I’m also glad I got time to finish the quilting on it this morning. I just love the way it turned out! I’m super happy with my fabric choices. I was kind of worried about the green applique flowers, but in the end I love them! Now I just have to grab a 16 by 16 pillow and I’ll be happy!

Another Embroidered Pillow Sneak Peek

Thornton-20140225-01795

This is going to be one lovely throw pillow! I did the embroidery at work, and I have the pieces cut to start the quilting it, but I’m quilting the Colt’s Quilt tonight so it will have to wait until tomorrow. The more I work on an Embroidery machine, the more I want one! I so desperately want one! Someone buy me a Viking Designer Ruby Deluxe! I’ll be your best friend forever!

Throw Pillow: All Done

I did most of it at work, and then did the rest at home and made the pillow that fills it from scraps of batting and fleece. I just did an overlap in the back, because I didn’t feel like doing buttons. So here it is. I rather like it! I think I might even teach a class on it one of these days. I love the fabric pattern, and I think the teal thread really made it pop! I can’t wait to make a larger one! I think I might even do quilted pillowcases that match my Legend of Zelda Bed Quilt!

Colts Quilt: Finished The Top

I did it! I feel so bad I am running behind on this for a customer. I told her I would discount it for being late, but I still really need to finish it. I’ve been all wrapped up in paperwork and everything this past week, I’ve only been able to sew at work, and I only work on work projects t work, so then I work on my projects at home, and it has been a bit crazy this week, but I’ll be quilting this tomorrow! I cannot to mail it out and not have to worry about it anymore! I love the way it is looking! My only wish is that I had more of the blue fabric I used in this. Hopefully I can find more so I can use it for the binding. I have other blues I can use, but I really like the blue I used in the quilt!

Crazy Quilt 1: Quilting It

I started to quilt it! I also managed to shred hundreds of documents today as well. (Not that the two are related.) So, I just settled down at my sewing machine. I’m going to hop back on the Colts quilt now, but I just really wanted to start this. It was just nagging at me to throw some shiny thread on it!

Colts Quilt: Almost Half Way Done

I’ve been slowly working on this project since about a week ago. The fabric was delayed in the mail because of the weather, and it was just a lot of delays. Now I am finally making some headway! I think it is going to look sexy!  have to pick up some white quilting thread at work though. For some reason, I have none at home.

Crazy Quilt: Almost There

I finished putting on the border last night. I had done the embroidery at work, but I didn’t get a chance to post those pictures last night. I’ve got two or three more things to put on to jazz it up, and then the buttons! Should I put the buttons on before I quilt it, or after? I’m not really sure. This is my first crazy quilt.
