Only one more to go! I really hope the customer likes the subtle accents in texture that I use in the fabric. I think using nothing but plain colors would be so boring! Now onto the Goomba!

Mario Block Is Done!
3 Blocks Down… 3 To Go… Oh, And A Pillow Sham
One Mushroom Down, One To Go!
The Green 1-up Mushroom is finished! Between it and the fireflower, I am one third of the way done on these blocks! You know, I’ve always wanted a 1-up tattoo on my shoulder blade. Perhaps that is where my next Mario Quilt commission money will go to! Well, time for me to get to work on the Red Mushroom! Wish me luck!
Finished The Fireflower
Started A New Mario Quilt
So, I got this commission about two weeks ago, and haven’t had time to start it. I’ve got one block down, and I have five to go and then make a matching pillowcase. I cut all of the fabric and just have to piece it together! Wish me speed! I need to send it out by the 26th, so I have time, but I have many other things I have to do. No rest for the wicked! After this, I’m going to play around with some blooming bias!
Final Fantasy Quilt: All Done
I did it! I quilted and bound it! I ended up using a stipple, and before nerds attack me for it, let me explain why. A lot of people told me to stitch in the ditch to keep the blockiness of it, but I did the stipple because I think when they first made the character for the video game, they didn’t intend for him to look pixelated. They wanted him to look like something that was curved and didn’t have corners, so love it or hate it, that was my logic. I love the way it turned out. I ended up using a bright blue tonal binding because I thought it really framed it and brought out the colors from the inside. Anyone have any constructive criticism? I also just uploaded it to my Etsy Shop! (Click Here)

Final Fantasy Quilt: Next Block Cut
Since I finished the last block, I’ve been pretty motivated to keep going, so I started the next block. I already had the background left over from the last block I did where I switched the background to green to balance it out more. I went with a purple and blue batik for the cape, and then some or orange tonal and a yellow/green/pink batik for the hat. I decided to do green eyes and hand vs orange, because I did orange for the hat. I think he looks cute! Only one more block after this!

Final Fantasy Quilt: Second Mage Is Done!
I did it! I finished the second Black Mage for my Pop Art Final Fantasy Quilt! Hopefully, I’ll have the pattern up by later tonight for those who want to buy it from my Etsy shop! I’m so excited to pick out fabric for my next block! Keep an eye out for it!

Quilts Of Nerd-dom
So, as some of my readers have noticed, I’ve been doing a lot of video game themed items this past week. Well, the truth is…. I’m working on a line of quilts and quilt designs called “Quilts of Nerd-dom”. So far… I have done a few Zelda Quilts, a Mario Themed Quilt, and a I’m working currently on a Final Fantasy Art Pop themed Quilt. My goal is that at the end of February to have at least 6 of these Nerd-dom themed quilt tops made, and the patterns available. That is the goal anyways. The thing that I need from my readers is… What should I do next? You tell me what you want!
