My dad bought me a wok, and I decided to break it in earlier today with 5 Pepper Stir Fry! I fried up some eggplant, and then added red cabbage, habaneros, jalepenos, thai chilis, pablanos, and yellow bell peppers… It was amazing, but now that I’m done with eating that, I can get back to quilting up a storm. I have a zelda Through Size Quilt I’m running behind on, so wish me luck!

Here’s A Teaser Of What I’m Working On

I started a new project and here it is! I’ll post more pictures tomorrow when I have a bit more of it done! Wish me luck!
The Nerdy Things I Embroidered This Week…

While I’ve been quilting away on other projects, my embroidery machine has been working just as hard! So has my software! With this new software, I have quite a few more faculties available to me, and I can do quite a bit more than before. I don’t quite have the time to really explore everything that it can do, but hopefully after the holidays I’ll have some time! Hopefully I’ll have some time before my Youtube channel officially launches so I can post a couple videos on that. Anyways, I’ve been stitching out quite a few things. Mostly for throw pillow cases, but also just to show myself how to make them, and what they’ll look like. So here are some pictures of the things I digitized after the jump! Continue reading
Live Long And Prosper
Someone once said sewing was cheaper than therapy… I have since found out, that was a lie! A very large lie! However, after all of these supplies have now amassed themselves in my sewing room, I have decided that sewing is at least as helpful as therapy. As I’m putting a quilt together for a commission, I am always working on something in the background on my embroidery machine! I got a couple of requests to do something Star Trek themed, and now I can say I did one! I have a couple other ones in the works, but they might be a while before they get stitched out. So here is a sampler of what my large stash of embroidery and sewing supplies can add up to. Isn’t sewing just astounding!
I’m Launching A Youtube Channel On December 1st!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeS4oYdE7qg
I’m launching a Youtube Channel in December and wanted to give everyone a little sample of what I’ve been doing with my Premier Embroidery Plus software. There is a feature on the digitizing software where you can create and share a life view video of what the design stitch out will look like. I couldn’t help but make a couple of videos. Now, keep in mind that these are just samples, and I’m considering them a work in progress! Follow the jump for the other videos!
I Practiced With My Sulky Blendables
A Zelda quilt is in the making and dominating most of my sewing room, but now at least I can say I played with my new Sulky thread! This one is called Red Brick, and I feel so inspired by looking at it. I can even taste the projects to come in the future, and I can almost see them, but commissions take the foreground and I have to do what I committed to. I just threw a light piece of batting under the black fabric and started sewing. I have to play with the tension settings a bit, and I’m sure it didn’t help that I was using 80wt thread in the bobbin, but I just love the way the colors pop out! Wish me luck!
New Thread For… Well, I’m Not Sure What It’s For
I got some new thread… I got it because I needed it for a project. I’m just not sure what that project is yet. I’ve got another quilt on my sewing table right now, so I won;t be able to use it right now, but I have amazing plans for a whole cloth quilt! You’re all just going to have to wait and see! Wish me luck!
Installing Premier Plus Ultra
She Is The One Named Sailor Moon!!!
As I’ve said, I’ve been getting ready for comic-con and I did some Sailor Moon towels as a test run for my designs, and I recently added them to my shop since people asked! I think later this week, I’ll add some “My Neighbor Tororo” to the list of items in my shop, but I have a quilt or 4 to do, so that has to come first! Wish me luck!
