Silky Prints Fabric For Scarf Making

I did some heavy fabric shopping the other day. I bought these gorgeous silky print fabrics and I’m just so excited to do some work with them! I have plans fr a couple of different kinds of scarves. I think my favorite is the orange and teal! I can’t wait to make something exciting. I know I’m making infinity scarves, but I’ve got a couple of other ideas to mess around with! Wish me luck!

More Fabric Bowls, And I Plan To Do 6 More Today

I know, I’m starting to develop a problem with fabric bowls! I mean, they are just so cute though, and I can pump them out! I think I might start selling them! Later tonight though, I have to start work on a quilt! Wish me luck!

Next Quilt: Fabric Picked Out

I’m not sure as to a pattern yet, but I picked out the fabric I want for my next quilt! It’s going to be bright and cheery, and I’m going to be so in love with it! This is going to be one hell of a de-stashing project, but I’m ready for it!  I mean with these fabrics, it’s hard to not like something made with them. I can’t wait to start the piecing process!

Already Picking Out Fabric For My Scrap Quilt!

Since I got the order yesterday, when I got home from my day job, I started messing around with my fabric! I found my bin labeled ‘Large Scraps’ and started taking everything out of it. I found fabric remnants I didn’t even know I still had pieces of! It’s rather invigorating! So, I have a rough guess of the fabric I am going to use, and only 2 pieces are fat quarters that have not been cut into! I feel very frugal! I love it! Here is the fabric!

We all know that some fabric out there is UGLY! I’m not talking about your run-of-the-mill ugly. I’m talking about the ‘you dry heave a little’ when you see it! Heck! Some of this fabric makes me want to dry heave a lot! I do mean A LOT! For instance, I was on spoonflower, and yes, there is some amazing stuff on spoonflower, but some of it makes me weep a little for humanity! I mean, some of those prints make me was to cry, just lock myself in my bathroom, sit in my bath tub, turn the shower head on, and cry! Hell, I might even throw on some cheap mascara and then cry, just so it drips down my face for emphasis! I mean, it’s so ugly it offends all of my senses, including taste and smell! I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all, but come on people! Continue reading
