I’ve been struck with this darn Bell’s Palsy and have had a hell of a time sewing with it. I paralyzed the right side of my face, as well as my right neck and shoulder. I’m trying to power through though! I’ve been doing a lot of embroidery because I can push the start button and walk away… It’s amazing! I started making these so I could teach a class on them, and now I’m just in love with them! I’ve made about 10 already, and I’ve gotten plenty more vinyl! Wish me luck!
I went on ahead and got a whole black completed. I have quite a few more squares already embroidered, but just haven’t gotten them together yet. I just love this design, and I can’t wait to put it all together to make a quilt.
I’ve been trying to put that embroidery machine to good use. This is the latest project I am teaching class on at the shop. I still have a couple of blocks to go, and then I still have to figure out the border… Thinking maybe an embroidered stippled block… not sure yet, but I’m working on it! With me luck!
I haven’t posted much lately… I haven’t done much lately. I was horribly sick, but now I’m back on the grind. I started with this gorgeous pillow, and I have an embroidered tile scene I’m working on as well. I’ll make sure to post it later. Anyway… This is a design called “Moroccan Tile” and it’s made by Viking. We’re doing a class on it at work, so I better get on it because this is only half the design! The pillow will be 4 blocks and I only have 2 more to go! Wish me luck!
I practically thought I was dying. I haven’t sewn anything in about 5 days, and I think I’m going through sewing withdrawals. It’s been rough, but I slept for 17+ hours last night, and I feel a bit better. So here it goes, I’m jumping back into my sewing room! Wish me luck!
I finished it and it is currently in the washing machine. I’m so excited for the way it turned out. The Wonderfil thread I’m using is super awesome! Their variegated colors are just to die for! I think it has quite a bit of movement, and the embroideries just make it pop! I used a bright blue flannel for the backing as well as the binding, and I think it is just perfect! I just have to schedule the class for this fun quilt at work! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get back to a commission quilt.
I made these this morning and last night, washed them up, and here they are. I made three of them, and all I want to do is make more, but I have a commission I am in the middle of, and I’m also out of wash away stabilizer! I did use some fancy thread sample I got from a friend. It’s called Wonderfil Dazzle, and I used it as cording with my cording foot, and it just turned out amazing! I didn’t have a bunch of it, so I used yarn on the other ones! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to get back to a Zelda quilt. Wish me luck!

So, I saw this tutorial on a website the other day, and I decided to change it up a bit and make a scarf made out of ribbon and fabric scraps! I just rinsed all the water soluble stabilizer off of them, and they are drying right now. I’ll post more pictures later today! Wish me luck!
So, we got these new thread holders at work, and they work great for metallic thread. I’m making these too throw pillows with the metallic thread, and I think it just looks marvelous! I’m not too sure what to use metallic thread for, any have any good ideas?
I’m working on a quilt for myself before I start my latest commission, and I’ve been adding embroidery to it, to help spice it up a bit! I got some of this marvelous Wonderfil thread at work. It’s marvelous! Randomly variegated color increments, and I just love it! Hopefully tonight I’ll putt it all together! Wish me luck!
