Infinity Scarf Made With Knit Fabric

So, I’ve never really worked with knit fabric before. I mean, I’ve made t-shirt quilts before, but I’ve never done any sewing project with knit fabric before. It was on the clearance rack at Joanns, so I bought some. This is my first time making anything with knit fabric, and it turned out great! I used the serger for most of it, and finished it off by hand. I even twisted to tube out as I sewed it. I think I’ll make another one tonight.

Finished My Blue Zelda Commission

I did it! The last holiday quilt order is finished! Now I do have another quilt I have to work on, but I’m taking a couple of days off first. Maybe I’ll play with my serger, or work on my Pokeball quilt. We will see. Although tonight, I’m just going to snuggle up and watch tv from my bed.

Silky Prints Fabric For Scarf Making

I did some heavy fabric shopping the other day. I bought these gorgeous silky print fabrics and I’m just so excited to do some work with them! I have plans fr a couple of different kinds of scarves. I think my favorite is the orange and teal! I can’t wait to make something exciting. I know I’m making infinity scarves, but I’ve got a couple of other ideas to mess around with! Wish me luck!

Spending The Day Quilting

As the snow drifts by my sewing room window, and as I re-watch American Horror Story: Coven on Netflix, I’m wondering why I don’t spend all my spare time sewing. I’m also wondering why Anna Paquin is not on American Horror Story… One can hope for season 5! I get such a rush from watching something come together! I mean, now grant it, this quilt already had the fabric ironed and cut, so I guess that might have something to do with it. Hmmm. Oh well, I’ll just keep on sewing this together, and hopefully I’ll start the quilting on it tonight! Wish me luck!

I Finished An Infinity Scarf

I took a quick break from sewing a quilt to make an infinity scarf last night. I just got this bug up my ass, and next thing I know I’m pulling out my serger and making a scarf! I think it turned out just marvelous! I used the rolled hem on my serger and some woolly nylon, and made the outside seam twist around it, adding some texture, and making sure it wasn’t flat! I just love it! Now to get back to quilting!

I’m Making Scarves

So, I was at Joann fabrics the other day and clearance fabric was 50% off…. and I walked out of the store with some silky print fabric… Now I’m way into making scarves! I only made a couple because I have a quilt to finish up in the next few days, but once that is done, I’ll start pumping these out. I was thinking about putting them in a consignment shop, and putting them up on Etsy. How much do you think I could charge for them?
