A Student’s Bargello Quilt Top

Today I taught a class over at Merrillville Sewing Center, and it was on Bargello quilts! One of my students made this adorable quilt top! I’m just so in love with it, I might want to make one for myself! She picked out the most gorgeous Jelly Roles!

Even Though I Am On Hiatus… Crazy Quilt 3

I know it doesn’t look like much, but it is the start of another crazy quilt. Even though I am taking a break from sewing, I cannot stop all together. I work for a sewing machine shop, so I had a crazy quilt class to teach, and I started work on this! I’m pretty excited that I don;t have to do anything else to it for a month. Haha. I’m doing it with the class, so I can take a break between now and the next class! However, I am excited to see how it turns out! I’m just using up a lot of scraps and some older fat quarters! Wish me luck!

If you’re close to the Northwest Indiana Area, you can still sign up for the class! I’m doing a makeup class later this month for the first class. Then it is once a month for the next 3 months! Let me know if anyone wants to sign up! I still have room!

Finished My Americana Clutch

I finished the second clutch I had to make for a class. I’m super excited to teach it! Here is the first one I made. I must say, I’ve gotten pretty good at following a pattern. The first clutch was my first attempt at using a pattern, and I must say, it wasn’t half bad. What do you guys think? I still think I might end up adding some decorative buttons!

Stitcher’s Garden: Finished The Second Block

I’m not going to lie: I did not finish the first block. It is still on one of my sewing tables, and I’ve still got to make the border for it, however, I did manage to pound out the second block for everyone to see! Hopefully I’ll finish the first 3 block by next weekend, but no promises. I have a commission quilt that is in the queue, and that gets started this weekend. It is a super cute Mario Twin bed set! However, it’s time for me to start getting ready for work! Hopefully the day flies by so I can get back to sewing! Wish me luck!

Making Of: Stitcher’s Garden

I started work on Stitcher ‘s Garden! It is a gorgeous quilt that I am working on at the Highland Sewing Center, and it is one of the classes we offer, and last night I started work on this. I was too tired to finish it, and today we were too busy for me to do more on it, but I’m really excited to get more work done on it tonight! Wish me luck! Check out the class list for the shop I work at Here! You can do the blocks one month at a time, or faster or slower if you like. You should stop in because I’ll be teaching a few of them!
