Back From My Long Weekend!

I spent my weekend having a sort of artists retreat from the world! I also had a date, so I took a break from quilting and sewing, but now I am back full force! I recently sold a quilt from my ETSY shop, and later tonight, I will start picking out fabric and possibly even cutting it! I’m in a great mood, and I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday as much as I am! Much love to all of my readers!

I’ll post updates soon!

Fixing a Dress

so, my roommate has a bachelorette party to go to this weekend, and the theme is Little Black Dress.  MY roommate ordered her dress online and when it arrived, it had 2 holes in it! I mean, come on! She just bought it, and it already had two holes in it. So, I spent my night evening fixing it. It was a manufacturer error. The serger slipped and at points never connected to the elastic that causes the ruching. So, I had to tear the seam out a few inches to make it flush with the rest. And here it is finished!

I’ve Picked Out The Fabric For The K and J Quilt

So, after a day of meandering around my sewing room, I have found some things that I like, and I have set together a color pallet of the fabrics I am going to use for the K and J quilt. I’m really excited! I honesty do not know what I am going to do with them, but I’ll figure that out later today after I take a nap. I did not sleep lat night, and I am tired!

Internet Nation, I Need Assistance!

Internet Nation, I Need Assistance! I’m making a quilt for my cousin and his wife, and when I asked his wife for any particular colors or patterns, she riffled around in my fat quarter collection and picked this piece out, and said she wants a quilt based on this. I just can’t seem to come up with a pattern, especially since I only have this one fat quarter of this fabric. So, I was thinking something what had a square in the middle of each block, and I could put this fabric there. Just a thought! Anyone have any other ideas for me???
