I’m playing around with the designs, and I’m still settling on one. Hmm… I’m just not sure. I’m making it tonight for a Hostess present for a friend. Hopefully I’ll finish in time.

Finished My Christmas Table Runner Part 1!
I finished one of these marvelous table runners for a class at work, and decided I needed to make another one! In fact, I’m going to make a few of them for Christmas presents with some of the fabric I bought last year after the holidays. I should have a few of them made by next week, so be on the lookout for those coming out! I saw the pattern from Bunnie Cleland and just fell in love! I think they are turning out great!
Go From Simple 9 Patch to Fabulous Really Quickly
So, as I sit at home with the flu, I wonder what can I sew that doesn’t require much work… My embroidery machine is in the shop, so that’s out, and then I decided to make a simple table runner. It’s not much, and I’m still contemplating a border or not. It was late last night when I finished sewing it, so I decided not to quilt it and leave that for later today, when I get home from work. I do love a good disappearing 9 patch. It’s such an easy thing to do to spice up a block! What do you guys and gals think: Border or not?
I’m Such A Bad Blogger – But Here’s A Table Runner
I know I haven’t posted much this September, and I’m sorry. I’ve been sick, and to be honest, I’ve just been busy as well. I’m having new flooring put in, and that is a chore all on its own, and then I had a couple of commission quilts to do, and I’m just exhausted! But I do have good news! I’m teaming up with 2 other bloggers for some fun activity starting in the next couple of weeks, so wish me luck!
Also, here is a table runner I made for work! We are having a class on it, and there will be a kit that goes with it! I just love this fabric combination! The pattern is by Bunnie Cleland over at Triangle frenzy! I just love her stuff! Not too long ago I made a quilt with my own pattern, and saw her pattern for the same quilt, and thought it was much easier to follow than my scribbles of geometry. I got quite a few of her patterns for the shop! Wish me luck!
‘Tis The Season To Start My Christmas Projects…
Serenity Garden Table Runner
I’m not going to lie: I’m in love with table runners! It’s like a little baby quilt you can make in one day. Well, almost one day. Haha. I did this embroidery design I got from work called Serenity Garden. It had some very cute designs on it. I also got this fabric that has a metallic sheen to it, but doesn’t have a metallic feel. I really like it. I have it in green, navy, red, brown, and olive. It’s quite nice! I think it is by Timeless Treasures. I think….
Quilt The Snowflake Table Runner
I haven’t touched this in a while, but I figured I should finish it even with all of my impending quilts! I got to work super early this morning, and just sat down and pressed the top on. (I’m using a double sided fusible table mat blank.) Now I’m going to quilt it. I was thinking of quilting it once with a blue variegated and then over that with a tighter purple stipple. We’ll see though, I might think the blue is enough. Wish me luck!
Snowflake Table Runner
The world has been obsessed with Frozen and I finally got around to doing something winter themed! I decided I wanted a black table runner and I was going to do some Modern Snowflakes in different shades of light blue, light purple, light yellow, silver, grey, and white! I’ve got about 6 more snowflakes to embroider, but it should be done by next week. One can hope anyways!

Finished My Open Weave Table Runner
I’m so happy with how it turned out! Next time I think I will use more Elmer’s glue to hold it in place. There was some slight distorting during the sewing process, so I think I’ll also add in some steam a seam to help hold things in place while sewing. I’m not sure if I’m doing to make matching place mats yet… We’ll see.
Finished The Weaving, And Now Onto The Sewing
This is turning out so cute! I’m just so in love with it! I mean, it takes a while, but it is a nice project for a boring rainy day. I’m sure I could sew it faster if I stopped watching Twin Peaks, but that’s just not going to happen! I think this would be a really cute ideo for a throw quilt, but I’m trying to figure out a method to hold something that large in place while I sew… Hmmm…..
