Continue readingI started a new quilt… not that I don’t have a bunch started. We all know how that goes. I’m also trying to go through all of my damn jelly rolls. I did a count, and I have over 70 jelly roll packs. Here is one down!
I’m not sure what I’m going to name it yet, but something about it screams “On Fire”. Can you tell I have a quilt type??? Hopefully I’ll finish this soon.

While the sewing magic happens in my sewing room, I’ve been slowing down to watch Transparent this past week! It is amazing! Everyone should be watching it; it’s one of the saddest and darkest things out there. And while it is quite a tale of woe, it has it’s shining moments that more than make up for it! This season was a smash hit for Judith Light! If she doesn’t win an Emmy and a Golden Globe, I’m going to be extremely hurt. While her character learns some lessons, at a steep cost, she really blossoms! I just want everyone I know to be watching this show!
Now I’ll get back to quilting…. More Jelly Rolls Came In!
Well, my quilt did not place at the Pennsylvania quilt show. It was invited there, and that is good enough for me! I was told the binding is too happy, but I think I’ll leave it alone. Anyhoo, I started to play with Jelly Tolls, and I’m thinking about carrying a couple in my etsy shop…. What does everyone think? If I sold them for 34 dollars, would you buy them? I’m working on some fun projects with them, and I’ll post them as soon as they are done! Wish me luck!
So, I wasn’t quite sure what to do for this quilt. I had wanted to do something with Jelly rolls for a while and figured I would cut my own and see what I can do. This design popped into my head around 4:30am and I just ran with it! I’m going to use some kind of sashing, but not sure on the color yet. What does everyone think?
It took me a while, but I finally got all the fabrics together and started cutting them for this amazing quilt! I’m super excited to start on it tonight. I can’t quite explain the design, but once I start it, I’ll post lots of pictures! Also, I think this is my first time using Jelly Roll size strips in a project. We’ll see how it turns out! Wish me luck!
