Okay, fellow quilter, nerds, sewers, anyone at all: Is the background too busy with the patterned hat and cloak? I think it might be. It’s fine if it is, because I have a few more blocks to make. So I would still use it for another block that I would use less busy fabric in the actual character. What do you all think?
I’ve officially finished sewing him together! I did pick out the colors for the other ones, but unfortunately, I cannot start the next right tonight. I have sold a quilt on Etsy and have to start work on that which is really exciting! It’s going to be an equality quilt and I’m looking forward to making it!
Quick Update: He’s coming together and he is looking fabulous! At first I thought the patterned blue was a bit much, but I really dig the way it ended up coming out! I love the texture of him! Once I finish sewing this block together, I can work on the next one. I should pick out some fabrics! Yay!
I did it! I did it! I ran out of blue fabric, so I added some other blue fabric to the corners to make it more fun! This way it kind of looks like they are all framed in there! I really need to get more of this blue and purple fabric! It looks amazing as a background! I’m not sure if tomorrow I will pin this or start on my next quilt. We shall see!

I did it! Once more with feeling I have finished my next Mario themed block. It is a 1 up mushroom! I also put the pattern up on ETSY (Click Here) in case anyone was interested in making one themselves! This one took me most of the morning, but then again… I didn’t wake up until 10am. I was up until 4am… not sure why, just not feeling too hot! I need a Diet coke!

I did it! I did it! I pieced the block together and I love it! I mean, I really really love it! I’m so excited to do the other three! I really want to finish them tonight, but I know I’m to tired to sew straight seems or cut fabric evenly, so I’ll retire to bed soon and dream of 8 bit inspiration!

I did it! One more block is cut, and I have one more to do! Wish me luck! Next is my goomba trooper. He’s going to be a lot of fun! I hope everyone likes him! I don;t know why I didn;t do 8-bit blocks sooner! They are so much fun! And very quick and easy!
So I’ve decided that I did not want to start my next art quilt, and I just wanted to do a funa nd quick project that would only take a day or two, and this is it! I’m doing a quilt with 8 bit character’s from Mario Bros. Haha! I’m so excited that I am getting my nerd on. Do not worry though, by Monday I will have started my next art quilt! Enjoy this teaser for now!
It’s done! It’s done! It is officially done and I love it! I cannot wait until I snuggle up under this thing tonight! I’m so excited to cuddle under this and perhaps watch some Masterpiece Theater. It has a flannel backing, and then a 100% cotton batting. It’s going to be so warm1 I’m so excited!
