While I’m up all night quilting, I sometimes run the embroidery machine in the background. I digitized this about 3 days ago, and finally ran it on my embroidery machine! I’m just so in love with it. This was my first attempt at a butterfly, and I know there are a couple spots where I have to fix a couple of things, but for the most part it turned out okay. Not to go and make this into a pillow between piecing the blocks of my Mario commission… Wish me luck!

I have a Super Mario quilt in the works, but I had a long weekend, and I needed a break from traditional quilting to get at some art work. I’m making a garden quilt, and it is about one tenth of the way done. I have so many more rosettes to sew, and I think I’m looking at about 20 more hours, but priorities… I have that Super Mario quilt to work on, and then I have a couple of bath towels to make for a couple orders. No rest for the wicked, and there are none more wicked then I! Wish me luck! I’m going to lock myself in my sewing room, and never come out!
The Zelda quilt is done and in the mail. So after the binding was put on that, I decided to get back to this project. The name for this project is now called “Midnight”, strictly because it was started at almost midnight a couple of days ago. I hand painted the black arrow fabric, and I just love the texture! For the binding, I’m thinking the black and white scroll that is the sashing would be very nice! This is just a teaser of it, but hopefully the full quilt top will be done by tomorrow. Then I can start on another Mario Quilt. Wish me luck!
Some debauchery for your day! I’ve been having a very nice day off from work! I’m going to go down to my basement and pound out a quilt top… or so I tell myself…
As everyone knows, I’m swamped with quilt work… Well, I thought about going to sleep last night, and instead made this! Now, I’ve still got a lot of work to do to it, but I think it’s just smashing! I’m going to do some funky things with sashing! To be honest, I’m not sure what yet, but hopefully while I’m at work inspiration will hit!

My laundry list of things to do is about as long as my hair at this point… Which is quite long. I need a haircut, but I’ll have to get to that later. I’m catching up on commissions, and I’m halfway done with this Zelda quit. I should have the top finished by tomorrow, and then quilted and bound by Wednesday… Hopefully. Then I have a full sized Mario quilt to make, and I have a few projects I want to use my painted fabric with, but those will hopefully come out by the end of the month! Wish me luck!
It was a blast! I spent 8 hours in my basement today painting the hell out of some quilting fabric! I’m looking forward to the new season of Daredevil, and I needed some ‘blood splatter’ fabric for it, and I couldn’t find any to purchase. I decided, I’m a crafty fellow and I should be able to do something… I might have gotten carried away, but I’ll use all this fabric for something.. right?

I’ve been running amok in my sewing room the past couple of weeks! I finished a throw size Zelda Quilt and a queen sized Zelda Quilt. Now, I finished a throw sized Mario Quilt, and I still have another throw sized Zelda quilt, and a full sized Mario Quilt. I had Comic Con 2 weeks ago, and I’m still getting my sewing room back in order! Now I have some 8-bit embroidery to drop off at a shop later today after work. No rest for the wicked, and there are none more wicked than me. On top of that, I’ve had two machines repaired st week. I guess I use them a bit much… I guess I really cannot argue with that.
Well, I’m off to my day job!

I forgot to post pictures of these before Comic Con, but here they are! About half of what I made sold, so I’m in a pretty good mood! And soon, you’ll be able to find some of my work at a local shop! I’ll keep you posted!
So much fun today! My feet are killing me, and I’m tired as can be, but it is a good kind of tired! MY friends came to visit, my other friend worked the booth with me, and she let me dress her up like Harley Quinn! Gave out so many business cards! Met so many interesting people! I was amazing! Next year, I think I’ll have to get 2 tables though! My one table was kind of busy… I sold quite a bit of stuff, and now I can work on my next big venue… Not sure what that is yet, but we’ll figure it out!
