After smashing my toe with a 1946 Singer 66, also known as the Cast Iron Devil, I’m always very wary of moving that machine. I was picking it up off of the floor, and my hand slipped and it fell on my big toe. OUCH! Anyways, it was on my table as I was piecing my special mystery project, but now I’m working on quilting this commission, and I cannot wait to post pictures of the finished project!
Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday. I was at a friend’s graduation. However I did manage to do some work, I was working on my turquoise, purple, and earth tone quilt. I did get a lot of strata sewn together! I went and picked up my mail and got the quilt I am stippling for someone. I also designed a Tetris quilt for a client, and once I make it for him, the pattern will be up on Etsy. I’m just a busy little beaver! Here is a picture of the quilt that someone else made, and I’m just doing the quilting on!
I’m not quite ready to say what it is yet, because I don’t know how it is going to turn out, but I thought I would show everyone my fabric choices before I get to sewing! This is one of my largest projects to date, and I really hope it turns out well! I don;t think I’m going to sew tonight, but I will most likely start tomorrow morning! Tomorrow night I have to break camp on this project to quilt a quilt top someone sent me, so I’ll post that tomorrow too!
I was contacted on my Etsy shop about designing a tetris quilt and it is funny because I was already working on a design for one anyways. I cannot wait to get the okay to make it! I’m really excited!
I hate having to mail it, but I guess since they already paid for it!
I finished it last night about midnight and I was too lazy to set up lighting to take pictures. Instead I plopped down on my bed and watched a Netflix Movie until I fell asleep. Here are the pictures. For the quilting I ended up doing black and grey stippling on the background, and then yellow and orange stippling on the actual bird. I hope the client likes it! I’ll bind it later today! First though, I have to go and return a pair of shoes I ordered online. Damn things didn’t fit right! I swear, my shoe size goes from 13 Wide to 16 Narrow depending on the shoe!

I posted a picture on here of a quilt top being sewn together on my Singer 66, and everyone kept asking about my Janome. Here it is! I’ve been using it to free-motion quilt this top down! I’m really excited to finish it!
I just finished the piecing for another Zelda Quilt. This one if for a loyal follower of the blog and I’m going to be so happy when I mail it out tomorrow!

After a long day of shoveling snow and cleaning my dining room, I finished most of it last night but fell asleep at 2:00am and once I got up and situated, I hopped right back on the machine. I’m almost done piecing!
