I was up super late, like 3 in the morning and I got some random ass inspiration, and I started drawing this up. Then I sat and did the math for the block, and then I picked out some fat quarters and went to town. By 4:30 I had everything cut and I started to lay it down on the table. Can you guess what this partially finished block is? One hint: It’s not a Mario mushroom.

Latest Triforce Quilt Is Getting A Border… If I Could Only Pick One
It’s 11:00pm and I’m not sure which fabric to put on as a border. I was leaning towards the one with the fern leaves on the black background, but the grey is really framing it quite well. Any opinions? For those of you that don’t know, Zelda is an amazing video game, and part of it always takes place in the forest, so I’m really leaning towards the fern fabric, but I’m a little worried, because there is a lot of that fabric already in the quilt. What should I do? Or should I go to bed and figure it out tomorrow?

Sewing Introverts Unite! Or… maybe don’t unite, and just stay at home and sew! Seriously, it’s how I feel a lot of the time. I use sewing as an escape from the world. I see what’s going on in the world, and all I can think is, “Wouldn’t it be so much better if everyone just went home and sewed.” I don’t consider myself anti-social or anything, but I’m just not a super social person.
