Frozen Star Pattern Is On Etsy

I just uploaded the Frozen Star Pattern to Etsy and I hope everyone likes it! It is a rather tedious quilt, but the more experience you have with quilt making, it won;t be so hard. It’s just slightly tedious to get that burst of color in. It only took me 3 days and a total of probably 10 hours, so it wasn’t too bad!

Drawing Up Patterns!

I wanted to be sewing today, but after a very ‘fun’ conversation with the person I live with., I am too exhausted to do anything that is highly productive. Instead I decided to watch the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy and draw up some quilt sketches from the inspirational pictures I found! I think I’m coming up with some beauties here! These are obviously rough drafts and will put them on graph paper later!

Working On A New Pattern!

After a day of working my legs off, I’ve come home, showered, ate, and now I’m chilling out, watching the Mindy Project, and working on a design for my next quilt. I have the pieces of my Christmas scrap quilt sitting on my ironing board, but no iron. I cleaned it, and now I have to wait for the CLR to evaporate, and just steam some water through it.

So, as that sits there, I’m working on a sexy new quilt pattern! Wish me luck!

The Bargello Pattern is Beautiful

Sewing all of those giant strips was quite the task! Mainly, because I have a very light weight sewing machine that slowly moves towards me as I sew. I think with the next few quilts I sell I shall buy a JUKI! It took quite a bit of effort to continuously sew these strips. The electrician was coming back, so I only had about 2 hours to do this! So this is what I have so far, and as I was taking these pictures I heard the knock on my door, so once again, I am out of my sewing area and back in the living room! Anyways, I hope everyone likes the pattern so far!

Puzzle Pattern

By popular request I have decided to post the pattern I used for the baby quilt I made for my nephew, Mr. J.

Puzzle quilt pattern repeated

For this pattern I used a block that was 8 inches by 8 inches. So for each color of puzzle piece you use you will need  Two 3″ by 8″ pieces, and Three 3″ by3″ pieces of the same color for one piece. Pic however many colors you want, and how ever many pieces you want. You do have to do a grid pattern with it, and I don’t recommend starting to sew until you have pieced everything out.

I have a picture of the pattern block with dimensions after the jump!

Equal Sign Block

By popular demand, I have decided to post the block design for the Marriage Equality Quilt I did. I have about 10 requests for it, so I hope everyone enjoys it! It is quite simple really, just 7 strips of fabric, and you have a gorgeous quilt block that you can do many things with. I’m even thinking about using it again, but rotating every other block by 90 degrees. I feel like it would add some fun texture to a quilt top!
