Lost In The Forest

We all know I’ve been strip piecing like some kind of fiend, mainly because they go together very quickly, and I don’t have to spend a lot of time sitting, since the disk in my back still hurts. This is the third strip pieced quilt I have done, and I have a couple more to go. This is actually the first top I started, but I just finished putting it together. Now I have to figure out how to quilt it! Wish me luck!

My Rendition of Hell’s Kitchen

This quilt will be named ‘Hell’s Kitchen’.  Between Marvel’s DareDevil and Jessica Jones, I can’t help but feel like I belong in this part of Manhattan. This is the second in a collection of quilts I’m working on to put in the state fair. Now I Just have to figure out how to quilt this… Hmm, I think I’ll watch more Netflix and get ready for season 2 of DareDevil instead! Wish me luck!

My Latest Quilt – It’s Kind Of Modern

Some may fancy me as a modern quilter, but I think I’m rather traditional to be honest. Except today I did make one of these row quilts! They are quite easy, and really fun to make. It took about 2 hours to make the quilt top. I think I spent more time picking out fabric. Right now I have the top sewn in four sections, and I’m debating whether or not to add embellishment embroideries to it, or just leave it as is… Any suggestions?

Bringing In The New Year With New Towels

I’ve been out with a cold, so instead of hanging out with some friends last night, I stayed home and embroidered some towels! I’ve been working on my some new designs, and soon I’ll be adding the Imperial Insignia, The Rebel Insignia, House Stark and House Targaryen to my Etsy shop! Hopefully Once I make a couple of more samples, I’ll take pictures and put them up! Wish me luck!

I hope everyone had a great New Year’s Eve, and I wish everyone the best luck on their new endeavors for 2016!

Shipping Out Some Towels

image

I took this picture last night, well actually the wee hours of morning. I remember when I only had one order a month… Now I’m pounding out towels and quilts these days; I’m so grateful for all of my customers!

I’m not running behind schedule for the holidays, but I am cutting it close. I was so far ahead until I slipped a disk in my lower back. At least I’m not laid up from it, so I do have to be thankful for that. Well, I’ve got to get ready for work. Wish me luck!

How I Lived Without It All These Years, I Will Never Know

I don’t know what happened, but this came into the shop I work at, and I just needed to have it! The price was right, and I was there, and this just ended up in the trunk of my car. Who would have thought that when I started sewing three and a half years ago, I would end up with as many machines as I have now. I’m going to be strip piecing like a fiend! Wish me luck!
