Just a teaser for everyone. I took it last night when the lighting was bad and I was too lazy to go and grab another lamp. I’ll post better pictures once I get started on it again today!

This project has taken a slight back burner status since I started it, but since I organized my sewing room yesterday, it is time I got back to it! I’ve been making all of these random 9-patch blocks. I’ve made about 125 of them, and then a couple hundred other squares! I’m really excited for this piece. I’ll possibly post some pictures of of it being pieced together later tonight! So keep an eye out for them!

People have been saying a lot about this, and I think people are misunderstanding my stance on it, so I’m going to flat out say it once and for all. I’m a blogger! I support free speech! However, Phil had a contract with A&E to be a public figure representing A&E. Once A&E felt he was misrepresenting them, they suspended him. It’s in his contract. You see, he signed a contract to represent A&E, and in exchange, he got a lot of money. Basically, what I am annoyed with, is that people think this is a freedom of speech issue. He is not being censored. A&E in no way is taking away his right to free speech, but they can take away their pay check when they feel he doesn’t represent them in a positive light. This is not a constitutional issue, this is contract law. He signed and cashed the pay checks. No one forced him to. I just think people exude ignorance when they state this is a freedom of speech issue. It’s not. Sorry.

Also, I don’t hate Phil Robertson for what he said. He said what he believed. It’s his freedom of speech to express himself, and it is my freedom of speech to call him an ignorant redneck, but I don’t hate him. I’m glad he is sticking to his guns. I am actually hoping that he will stick to his statements so that eventually the show will be cancelled and I won’t have to hear about that family anymore!

My very good friend over at Ray’s Sew Crafty sent me this for the holidays! I’m not sure how much it offends others, but I’m madly in love with it! She also sent me a yard of the fabric it is made with. Now I just have to think of a craft I can do that will use it. I’ve got some ideas!

This is the first time I quilted someone’s quilt top, and I love the way it turned out! I’ve only ever done my own projects, so it was nice to work with a quilt that belonged to someone else. It really made me step up my game, and run with what they already did! I think it turned out stunningly!

I’m almost done with the quilting on this, and I will finish it up in the morning. My vision is starting to get a little blurry, so I guess that is my body telling me to go to sleep! Before I get in bed though, I did just want to update everyone with the progress!
