So, we got these new thread holders at work, and they work great for metallic thread. I’m making these too throw pillows with the metallic thread, and I think it just looks marvelous! I’m not too sure what to use metallic thread for, any have any good ideas?

I’ve seen it look amazing on wholecloth quilts. Otherwise, why not for the machine embroidery?

I do all my quilting by hand but I use a lot of metallic thread. I love the stuff. I do a lot of landscapes and abstract pieces and use it for a variety of effects, but I really like using it for highlights in sky and water.
