Since I don;t really feel inspired to sew anything, I figured I would rampage through the yard! I ended up going to my Dad’s old house he is trying to sell and work on cutting down a tree that is a little too overgrown. After only a few minor cuts and abrasions, the tree is about half way down. Now my arms are really sore from using the hand saw, but at least now I feel mildly motivated to sew something, yet at the same tme, too tired to sew something.
I took out an entire young tree today with my bare hands. ask me how…;)
Did you go all ‘Kill Bill’ on it?
This thing was a young tree, the trunk about 8 inches across, definitely a challenge–think of the size of a trunk of a u-cut christmas tree. I cut the bark around the bottom last month, and it failed to get water.
It sprung out with leaves after the first or second rains this month and then I started trimming it back, it was in the way of my AC, the driveway and the empty satellite dish, so then I began cracking off the branches. they were really dry and I just kept going.
I leaned on it with my foot and it ripped up from the root easy as pie. I’m disabled and couldn’t chop at that thing with a saw if you gave me money.
I tore it right out of the ground, smoothed the gravel over it, and now the foundation of my building is secure.
I need to put down the paintbrush and pick up a rake myself LOL that is a job for this weekend!! : )
