Well, Star Wars is on the rise, and I’m sure I’m not the only person who watched the trailer last night. So, I decided to make my Uncle some hand towels with Darth Vader on them, and I thought I should make a couple of different designs. So, here they are! My favorite is Boba Fett, as well as the Rebel insignia. I just added them to my Etsy shop, and sicne I’m in such a good mood from watching the trailer, everyone can take 10% off my embroidery designs now through Sunday! Just enter promo code STARWARS at checkout! I hope you’re going to enjoy them as much as I am right now… So, if you’ll excuse me, right now I’m going to put Boba Fett on a towel! Wish me luck!
Isn’t this a problem with copyright infringement? Even if you digitize the designs you made yourself the subject is recognizable intellectual property that is licensed by Lucas Films a.k.a. Disney. You can create artwork to enjoy yourself, but you can’t sell it. How do you get around this with Etsy? I just ask because Etsy took down items I was selling for this reason.
Because it is inspired by, it is not a direct copy. If I made photo-realistic things, it would be a problem.
