As a human, and as someone who has friends and family that are people of color, I will always use my voice to support them. A lot has been going on lately, in my personal life, as well as in the world, and I haven’t had the time, nor the energy to update my blog, but as I sit here typing this, I am both sad and hopeful. I’m sad to see how many people are resisting change for the better, and hopeful because I see how many people are demanding it!
As you know, I have a postcard art exchange that I am hosting with my amazingly talented cousin Valerie. We both decided that it should be put on hold so that the space can be filled by voices of people of color. We are not cancelling it, just putting it on hold. I’ll be updating the landing page for the sign-up to reflect this shortly.
I hope change is on the way. Normally I sign off with my signature phrase of, “wish me luck”, but today, fuck wishing for luck, let’s demand some change!
